PT Kitchen Assistant

Created: March 2, 2022

Terra is now open - Halifax’s most vibrant and quality focused cafe in the iconic Alexander Keith’s Brewery Building. We need you to be a part of our growth! We’re in need of an experienced Kitchen Assistant to join us. This is a part time position guaranteeing a minimum of 3 8 hour shifts per week, with the possibility of increasing to full time based on demand.

The Kitchen Assistant will be responsible for preparing ingredients, sauces, and pickles, assembling sandwiches and salads, preparing and reheating soups, and grilling sandwiches. They will fill in for our Baker two days per week, preparing baked goods using pre-prepared doughs, mixes, and glazes. They are responsible for the overall cleanliness and sanitization of the kitchen during their shift.

Terra is naturally rooted when it comes to coffee, food, service, and space design. We’re inspired by the guests we host, and the widely varying worlds they come from. We deliver a refined menu, using the highest quality ingredients, to create classic people-pleasing fare. In our environment, all details are considered, and constantly improved. From menu to service standards, and lighting to cleanliness, we deliver an elevated experience all around. Our fast paced cafe operates with organized and regimented systems, resulting in consistency for all stakeholders.
